There are a limited number of appointments available for Penn State student athletes, but you must be involved in the PSU athletic program to utilize those appointments. If you are a NON-RESIDENT ALIEN: Penn State Global is providing software and workshops to help you file your taxes. This service is not associate with the VITA program. See the flyer below for more details.
If you are a UNITED STATES CITIZEN: There is a VITA program in Bellefonte that is open 6 days a week from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm. They have appointments available and will do your taxes while you wait. Bellefonte is about 10 miles from State College. You can schedule an appointment by calling 814-355-6816.
If you are a RESIDENT ALIEN: If you do NOT have a 1042-S form and you are NOT claiming a tax treaty exemption, then the Bellefonte site listed above can do your taxes. If you have, or are receiving a form1042-S, or you are claiming a treaty exemption they are NOT knowledgeable, certified, or qualified to do your taxes.
If none of these options meet your needs, you will need to contact one of the professional tax services (Jackson Hewitt, H&R Block, etc) or one of the local accounting firms to do your taxes.
